On October 15, 2011 the W . L . GIlbert award for outstanding Community Service was bestowed upon Arnold A Grandell. It is presented in recognition of exceptional service and dedication to the betterment of life within the recipient's community and beyond. Mr Grandell's achievements proudly exemplify the legacy and traditions of his alma mater, the Gilbert School, and reflect the human it arian contributions of the school's founder for whom the award is named.
